Introduction

The ATRF is the principal transport research conference in Australia and New Zealand. It brings together transport researchers, policymakers, advisors and practitioners from a range of disciplines to share and build upon the latest research and thinking.

All peer-reviewed and presented ATRF papers are held on this site.

The ATRF is the principal transport research conference in Australia and New Zealand. It brings together transport researchers, policymakers, advisors and practitioners from a range of disciplines to share and build upon the latest research and thinking.

This year's ATRF Conference will be held in Auckland, hosted by the University of Auckland. The Conference will be supported by the Auckland Forecasting Centre and will be combined with the 2017 NZ Ministry of Transport Knowledge Conference. It will provide an excellent opportunity for industry and academic institutions in Australasia to participate in discussion of current and emerging transport issues.

ATRF conferences cover a wide range of topics, including:

  • T03: Transport analysis & big data
  • T04: Active transport (cycling, walking, etc.)
  • T05: Public transport
  • T06: Transport & land use / urban design

  • T09: Aviation / Maritime
  • T10: ITS connected and autonomous vehicles

  • T12: Future funding and pricing

Full papers to be submitted by 31st May 2017 (there will be no call for abstracts this year).
